Emergency Department / Acute Care
If a patient develops any symptom or medical condition that is serious and cannot be evaluated at the clinic at a timely manner, he/she should go to the emergency department of UHB or KCHC for evaluation. It is very important to bring the name of your oncologist (cancer doctor) and any documentation you may have on your cancer, such as your type of cancer, the treatments you have received, lab results and CAT scan reports. Such information will help the emergency department to determine what is the best way to take care of you.
